Terms of Service

By accessing or using Verdikta ("the Service", "the Protocol", "we", "us", or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.

These Terms apply to all visitors, users, node operators, developers, and any other parties who access or use the Verdikta website, API, smart contracts, or related services.

Verdikta is a decentralized AI judgment and settlement protocol that provides:

• On-chain dispute resolution via multi-model AI arbitration
• Bounty creation, evaluation, and settlement infrastructure
• Smart contract callbacks for autonomous agent workflows
• Node operation software for arbiter participation
• Developer APIs and SDK tooling

The protocol operates on public blockchain networks. Verdikta is an open-source project released under the MIT License. We do not guarantee the availability, accuracy, or outcome of any verdict or settlement.

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By using Verdikta, you represent and warrant that:

• You are at least 18 years of age
• You have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement
• Your use of the Service does not violate any applicable laws or regulations in your jurisdiction
• You are not located in, or a resident of, any jurisdiction where use of the Service is prohibited

If you operate a Verdikta arbiter node, you additionally agree that:

• You will stake the required VDKA tokens as collateral per the protocol specification
• You will operate your node honestly and in accordance with the protocol rules
• You understand that staked tokens may be slashed for dishonest or malicious behavior
• You are solely responsible for the security of your private keys and wallet
• Node earnings and token values may fluctuate and are not guaranteed
• You will maintain reasonable uptime and network connectivity

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Submit fraudulent, misleading, or manipulated evidence to the protocol
• Attempt to manipulate verdict outcomes through collusion or Sybil attacks
• Exploit vulnerabilities in the smart contracts or protocol
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity of the network
• Use the Service for money laundering or other financial crimes
• Engage in any activity that could harm other users or the protocol

Use of the Verdikta protocol may require payment of fees in LINK tokens (or other supported tokens) for on-chain verdict requests. These fees are non-refundable once a transaction is submitted to the blockchain.

VDKA tokens used for node staking are subject to slashing conditions defined in the smart contracts. Token values are volatile and not guaranteed. Nothing in these Terms constitutes an offer to sell securities or a guarantee of returns.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. We disclaim all warranties, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that:

• The Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
• Verdicts produced by the protocol are legally binding in your jurisdiction
• Any particular outcome will result from use of the Service
• The protocol is free from bugs, vulnerabilities, or exploits

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, VERDIKTA AND ITS CONTRIBUTORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES arising from your use of the Service, including loss of tokens, data, funds, or profits.

Verdikta smart contracts are deployed on public blockchains. Blockchain transactions are irreversible. You acknowledge and accept the following risks:

• Smart contract bugs or vulnerabilities may result in loss of funds
• Blockchain network congestion may delay or fail transactions
• Protocol upgrades may change the behavior of the system
• Regulatory changes may affect your ability to use the protocol

Always review transaction details carefully before signing. We recommend using test networks before committing real funds.

The Verdikta name, logo, and branding are trademarks of the Verdikta Foundation. You may not use them without prior written permission except as expressly permitted by the MIT License (for code attribution) or our brand guidelines.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration, except where prohibited by law.

You waive any right to participate in class action lawsuits or class-wide arbitration related to the Service.

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date and notify users via the website or email where possible. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
